Plus: TNF Recap, Week 7 Player Markets, And More

Happy Friday! This is the third edition of our weekly newsletter, which is intended to be a 5-minute read from across the sports landscape, with an emphasis on fantasy sports, sports betting, and the Propellor Fantasy Sports platform itself.
Fun Fact: With Tom Brady as his starting QB, Bill Belichick’s record is 219-64. Without Tom Brady, his record is 80-93.
Here’s what we’ve got for you today:

TNF Football Recap
Final Score: Jacksonville Jaguars 31, New Orleans Saints 24
Raise your hand if you had this game being a shootout? No one? Yeah, we didn’t either, since 15 of the prior 16 games involving the Saints had stayed under the total. This one flew over the 41.5 number.
Derek Carr (301 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT) went way over his passing yardage market of 238.5, while Trevor Lawrence fought through his knee injury (204 passing yards) and stayed under his passing yardage total. Remarkably, Lawrence also added 59 yards rushing. Jaguars RB Travis Etienne Jr. only had 53 yards rushing (his O.U was 64.5), but added two TDs on the ground, as Jacksonville held off a late Saints rally.

The Saints offense this season in a nutshell.
Week 6 NFL Fantasy Leaders
Raheem Mostert, RB, Miami Dolphins (34.2 points)
We can pretty much just leave at least one Miami Dolphins player in this category each week, right? Mostert was one of the Phins who had a big game on Sunday, racking up 117 yards on the ground on an efficient 17 carries and adding two TDs. He also notched 17 yards receiving and another score.
Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, Detroit Lions (30.4 points)
St. Brown has been injured at the start of this season, so he’s been a little quieter than last season when he burst onto the fantasy scene. Still, he was Jared Goff’s No. 1 target in Sunday’s impressive 20-6 road win at Tampa Bay, with 12 catches for 124 yards and a touchdown on 15 targets.
Adam Thielen, WR, Carolina Panthers (36.4 points)
Thielen is having a good season … he also is likely to get a lot of targets because the Panthers are going to be trailing in games. Carolina is 0-6, and somehow lost 42-21 to the Dolphins after leading 14-0 early. Thielen had a good game, though, with 11 catches (on just 13 targets) for 115 yards and a TD.
Interesting Week 7 Player Markets
Last week, we went 3-0 in this section:
Bryce Young UNDER 217.5 passing yards (217)
Gardner Minshew OVER 226.5 passing yards (329)
Tua Tagovailoa UNDER 4.5 rushing yards (0)
So, maybe listen for once in your life. Here’s what we like this week.
Justin Herbert OVER 38.5 passing attempts
The Chargers have played well against the Chiefs over the years, and if they want to have a chance to win this game then Herbert needs to throw the ball.
A lot.
Zach Moss UNDER 35.5 rushing yards
Did you watch the Browns game on Sunday against the 49ers? Did you see what that defense did to that offense? The Colts aren’t exactly the 2007 Patriots here, and Moss is splitting carries with Jonathan Taylor. We don’t expect either to have much success.
Mac Jones UNDER 4.5 rushing yards
Against a very good Bills defense, we expect Jones to be getting the ball out quickly – not running for his life. He’s also going to be on a short leash if he makes any mistakes, so we may only need to sweat this market for a half.
